Lou Leitz:
A reminder to those who plan to attend… our Grand Ledge inter-club is next
Monday, Feb 22 at noon. They will be meeting at the Grand Ledge A & W
Restaurant., 525 W Saginaw Hwy, in Grand Ledge. This is a fundraiser for the
Grand Ledge Club, everyone is welcome. Their Club receives $2 for each meal
sold and the money will be used to provide a thesaurus for 5th
graders.

Johnston: Sue Devon
reminds us Thursday, March 4th is our "Bring a Friend to
Lunch" day in a further effort to gain new members. Get your guests lined
up, next week we will have a sign-up sheet so we can tell Debbie how many to
expect for lunch that day.
The
Rummage sale is coming up on March 19 and 20 at the Faith United Methodist
Church, 4301 S Waverly Road. A chance to get rid of those no longer used
items.
The
Annual Spring Divisional Meeting will be at the Kellogg Center on March 12.
Registration begins at 5:00pm, banquet at 6:00pm.
Bryan
Crenshaw: The South Lansing Kiwanis Club is doing an outing at
the Lugnuts in August. I have some forms, which I forgot to bring, but I
will make them available. The Lugnuts contact was wondering if our Club
might also want to consider doing this on a nice summer evening in August.
The cost is about $10 per person and they have lots of activities going on.

Groak recognized the members who have birthdays in February, noting
celebrities sharing their birthdays and other tidbits of information. The
birthday boys were Roger Grove, Clarence Smith, Ray Easton and Rick Librizzi.
Clarence and Rick were in attendance and commented on their families and
lives.

Nicki
Adams was the guest speaker today and was introduced by program chairman
Bill Maher. Ms Adams is case manager for the foster care program at Lutheran
Social Services in Lansing. She commented on the work her organization is
doing to provide food, shelter, homes, education, etc. to young refugees who
arrive in the Lansing area without an adult. She emphasized the need they
have for volunteers to assist in their programs.
