Guests: 3 visitors today from the Eastern Key Club.

Teresa (one of Key Club Members) was winner of Lowry Scholarship being presented tonight at Eastern High School, thanked Rob Haney for all his work with the Key Club since Nicholas moved to Ft Wayne.

 

News by Dan Barnes: Dow is up doing well, Air Force test flight flew at 6 times the speed of sound earlier today, there was a raid at the Williamston medical marijuana facility, n/s Korea are not getting along, oil continues to spill into the gulf of Mexico (to no one’s surprise it is larger than first reported) 

Announcements:

The Key Club Members updated the membership on the various methods of fund raising and projects that they’ve worked on over the past year. All three are moving forward with college after their upcoming graduations. They wanted to thank the club for all the support given to them during their time in Key Club.

 Bill Maher, 11 people have signed up to work at the Children’s Miracle Network, please show up if signed up.

Anyone still interested in working on the golf outing that hasn’t already signed up please contact Bill

Golfers still needed, anyone wanting to golf in the outing please contact Bill if you haven’t already done so.

 Carla Johnston, The Board Meeting will be Tuesday June 1st at Grumpy’s. If you are a member recently elected to the upcoming board which starts in October please try to attend.

 Roger Donaldson, He will be cooking at the Mongolian Grill located at 2080 W Grand River, Okemos MI on Tuesday evening from 7-8. This is fundraiser for a project his nephew Colin is organizing as part of his Eagle Scout project. Please attend and support the cause if you can.

 Larry Pingel, Still 2 tickets available for the Tiger game on August 21st. Price is $75 per person which includes a game ticket and bus transportation.

Program

 Bryan Crenshaw introduced today’s speaker, Greg Crockett, Greg is running for Judgeship in the 30th District Court which encompasses Ingham County.

 Greg began his carrier working for the 30th District Court under the guidance of Judge Peter Houck. Greg offered many insightful area’s he feels would be improved under his guidance  should he win the upcoming election. One item being the creation of a Veterans’ Court for Ingham County. Greg was joined today by his assistant Bella Delau.

The Pot 

Glen Mulder was in charge of the drawing today. Greg Hagbom was the winner. He then generously donated his winnings to the Key Club’s celebratory event this evening. Unfortunately he drew the 6 of Clubs limiting their good fortune.
