The Noon News with
Nicholas Ferreri
This information from the Kiwanis
group on facebook. Kiwanis and other service organizations met with Michelle
Obama who talked about the President’s call to service for the summer. How
will Kiwanis participate… stay tuned.
The Okemos Kiwanis Club has
pledged to match any Kiwanis member’s contribution’s (up to $500) if they
call in during the Kiwanis hour Saturday, 10:00am to 11:00am. Identify
yourself as a Kiwanis member and your contribution will be doubled.
More interesting and humorous
news stories and a promise of drier weather for the weekend.
Songs
Taking a little effort, Roger
Grove got everyone on key, and then led the singing of "On Kiwanis" "America
the Beautiful" and "Smile."
Happy Bucks
Clyde Flory, a happy buck for
my speaker today, Dr. Zuckermann, another for the rest of my speakers this
month who all showed up and a third because next week I will be in Baltimore
for the 50th reunion of my graduating class from Johns Hopkins
University School of Medicine. Congratulations Dr. Clyde.
Greg Hagbom, my happy buck is
for all the calls and cards I received after having my hip replacement
surgery last week. As you can see I am doing well.
Roger Grove, a happy buck for
our speaker Dr. Zuckermann and for the urologist who treated me Dr. DeCarlo.
Terry Holzhausen, I have a
happy buck for my grandson, little Benjamin, who is coming to visit us.

joke.
Norm Miller, I have a happy
buck for our speaker today Dr. Zuckermann, who I see once a year, and for
the most part it is a pleasant experience.

happy buck for our speaker and for the 25 family members visiting over the
holiday weekend.
Harry Kost, I have a happy
buck for my son Jim who is 55 today. This weekend he is baby-sitting his

Program
Dr. Clyde Flory introduced his
speaker for the last week in May, Dr. Leonard Zuckermann. Dr. Zuckermann is
a practicing Urologist, Chief of Urology at Sparrow Hospital and serves the
medical community in several other capacities. He discussed diseases of the
prostate, how they are treated and spoke in detail about robotic surgery and
it’s many advantages. It has become the preferred method for prostate
surgeries.
Pot Winner
Greg Hagbom was glad he limped
in… he won the pot and then drew an 8 of diamonds.
