 Announcements

Lou Leitz: We will have an inter-club at Charlotte next Wednesday, July 21 at noon. I need a few members to join me.

Harry Kost: We needed 20 people to get the best rate at the Johnny Cash dinner at Turkeyville on July 30. Jim McCartney came through with tickets for a couple of his friends so we have 21 going. The cost is $35 per person and Jo will bill you on your quarterly statement. If anyone else would like to go let me know in the next couple of days.

Larry Pingel: If you signed up for the bus trip to the Tiger game on Aug 21, write a check to the Kiwanis Club and give it to Jo. We have to pay the bus company in advance of the trip. We still have 7 seats available on the bus, $75 per person.

Dick Skinner: The Spiritual Aims Committee will meet at the Flapjack Restaurant on Waverly Road next Wednesday at 7:30am.

Carla Johnston: I am working on next years committee assignments. If you have a preference for a particular committee you would like to serve on or one you don’t want to serve on, let me know.

Dennis Dudley, Sheffel Toys: We are having our annual open house at Sheffel Toys on August 19th and we would like to invite your club to participate and have a meeting there. The Delta Club is having a meeting there that day. This meeting is official if the bell is rung and both Presidents call the meeting to order. We have requests for 9,000 toys this year and we need your support.

Songs

Bob Nelson led the singing today selecting number 64, "A Merry Life," in honor of his 64th birthday which is tomorrow. Not sure we were ready for that one.

Happy Bucks

Dick Skinner, a happy buck for our new member Anthony Snyder and an explanation of his nickname Tony.

Larry Pingel, a happy buck for a vacation next week and a second one because in the 315 Kiwanis meetings I have attended this is the first time we have attempted song #64.
