Meeting
Announcements
Harold Krauss: We are
having an inter-club at Leslie next Wednesday at noon. We need three more
members to attend. I will pick you up in the parking lot at the east end of
the Sears store in the Frandor Shopping Center at 11:30am. This is the
newest Club in our Division and we need to welcome them. I have a couple of
volunteers and need a couple more. If you can join us, call me.
Clarence Smith: If you
are a currently a committee chairman and would like to continue in that role
for the next year, please let me know. We currently have one spot open,
chairman of the Young Children Priority One Committee. If you are not
planning to continue in your current committee chairman assignment, please
let me know so we can get those openings filled.
Jim Kost: The East
Lansing Kiwanis Club is having their annual Chicken BBQ at Patriarche Park
in East Lansing this evening, serving from 4:30pm until 7:30. Take it out or
eat in the park. This is the 51st year for this event and this
year features a car show..
Bill Maher: Someone did a
good job last week because all the months for program chairman are filled
for next year except December and January. Let’s get those two months filled
for Clarence, next year’s President.
July Birthdays
Yvonne Groak did her usual
fine job recognizing those members having birthday’s this month. This month
they are Bob Nelson July 16, Rick Oberle July 22 and Dick Skinner whose
birthday is July 23 and he shares it with Monica Lewinsky. Dick was present
and commented he is thinking of retiring but he and his wife can’t agree on
who gives up what perks.
Today’s News with
Nicholas Ferreri
The news and a hot forecast for

will be a collection effort by the Food Bank in the parking lot at Sam’s on
Edgewood Blvd. Nicholas and his WILX cohorts will be broadcasting from there
on Saturday morning.

Happy Bucks
Roger Grove, I have a happy
buck for Leroy Harvey who is going to be our speaker today. Another buck for
the round of golf I had at Oak Lane. I had 39 on the front and 36 on the
back, the best score I ever had. Congratulations on that 75 Roger!
Terry Holzhausen, 5 happy
bucks for a 6,100 motorcycle trip back from Anchorage Alaska. WOW!
Ray Easton, a happy buck to
let you know I am still alive and another for our 42nd wedding
anniversary coming up on the same day as Gary’s.
Gary Brya, happy buck for
golf this morning, our threesome was 3 under after 9 holes and we won 8
bucks. Another happy buck for the 42nd anniversary my wife and I
will be celebrating on July 23rd. Congratulations to the
Brya’s and the Easton’s, married on the same day.
