Songs

Roger Grove, even without a piano, made us sound like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing "On Kiwanis" and "Smile."

Happy Bucks

Dick Skinner, a very very happy happy buck because on Oct 4 Carolyn and I will be married 40 years and she has not kicked me out of the house yet. Congratulations!

Bob Nelson, a happy buck for Lou, Harold and Norm attending the installation of officers yesterday at the Mason Golden K and Lansing Golden K. I visited the Charlotte Club for installation on Tuesday morning.

Chuck Reifsnyder, I have a happy buck, I know some of you thought I only had one granddaughter, but the oldest one called me yesterday and said she had been accepted at MSU’s medical school.

Dennis Churchill, I have a happy buck for the incoming and outgoing officers and I have another for my daughter who has just been accepted at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore to pursue her advanced nurses training.

Jim Kost, a happy buck for our speaker Sandy Draggoo and another for the support I have received during the last year as I served as President. I enjoyed the past 12 months and am looking forward to working with Clarence in the coming year.

Rodger Grove, I have a couple, one for Sandy Draggoo who is a fellow member at Peoples Church and one for my granddaughter who graduated with a degree in marketing and called me last night to tell me she has a job.

Clarence Smith, a happy buck for the opportunity to serve as your President for the next year, I am committed to help our Club in anyway that I can. Also a happy buck for our outgoing President, Jim Kost and for our new Lt Governor, Bob Nelson. We had a very nice induction meeting in Mason last Thursday.

Program

Sandy Draggoo, Executive Director of Capital Area Transportation Authority since 1984, was introduced by program chairman Jim Kost. Ms Draggoo has received many awards and CATA twice has been named one of the best transit systems in North America. Her talk today was focused on support of the millage proposal for CATA on the ballot in November.
