The Noon News

Nicholas, for the last time, with the noon news and his usual reporting of interesting

and humorous stories.  He took this opportunity to express his gratitude for the way he was received, accepted and supported by all the membership and for all the wishes for success in his next adventure. And on this special day with his parents here, Debbie prepared a cake with his picture on it. Master Chef Rob Haney also presented him with a cake.

 Announcements

Carla Johnston:  I am going to pass along this sign-up sheet for program chairman.  We did pretty well last week.  All you need sign up for is one week.

Nicholas to show our appreciation for all you have done for our Club, your smiling face, the noon news and weather reports, attending conventions, your work with the K Club and more… we present you this plaque, an appreciation award.

Bill Maher: Nicholas I know you will continue to be a Kiwanian at your new location so here is a gift certificate to the Kiwanis store.  Pick out some merchandise.

Lou Leitz: We want to have an inter-club on Monday Feb 22 at noon at Grand Ledge.  They are having a fundraiser that day at the A & W in Grand Ledge and that is where the meeting will be held. I need 4 people to go and it looks like I have them.

Rod Conrad: The Spiritual Aims Committee will meet next Wednesday morning at 7:30am at the Flapjack Restaurant on Waverly Road.

Bob Nelson: The Youth Services Committee just met and we had a request from the Michigan Horse Council for volunteers for their show at the MSU Pavilion beginning on March 12.  Nicholas has advised me there will be some K Club members there but they can use more volunteers.

That is the same dates as our Rummage Sale and next week we will have sign-sheets for that event.  Start collecting the items you can donate to this sale.

Bob Holden: The shirts that were ordered are in.  Pick them up, they all have your names on them.  You will be billed for them on your regular monthly statement.

Jo Grubbe: You have noticed the tables are set up differently this week.  Debbie said this arrangement is better for her so if there is no objection we will continue this setup.
