our members could hand out information to promote Kiwanis. The membership committee
has no budget and since the Club no longer contributes to Silver Bells we
thought that money might be available for this project.

Miller, Beemer, McCartney, Leitz, Lynch, Lorencen, Flory,

won the big pot so it is my pleasure to present him with a check for $191.

birthdays this month. Clyde Flory Oct 2,
Larry Pingel Oct 11, Glenn Mulder Oct 12, Gary Brya Oct 13, Roger Donaldson Oct

There were interesting comments
from those present including from Larry Pingel whose birthday was last Sunday
and missed celebrating with his new grandson who was born a few minutes before
midnight on Saturday. The little guy's initials are BMW so his nickname is... "Beamer"
(or is it "Beemer"). Anyway Happy Birthday to all
and congratulations to Grandpa Pingel on the arrival of his second grandchild.
Songs
Roger Grove, Clyde Flory and a
couple of great old songs "Won't You Come Home Bill Bailey" and
"Good Old Summertime."
Happy Bucks
Larry Pingel, a happy buck because I am
still 5 days younger than Carla, a check for the Foundation and a happy buck
for my new grandson.
Clarence Smith, I have a happy buck for our guest speaker
today.
Sue Devon, I have one because Bob told me I had to put it in.
(Did you notice the item in the LSJ business section this week... Sue was
promoted to Assistant General Manager of
the Lansing Board of Water and Light)
Roger Grove, a happy buck for Greg's new hips and my new
knee. They all are working well.
