Clarence Smith Talked about the Leadership Meeting in Mt. Pleasant
last Saturday. Clarence along with Bob Nelson and Carla
Johnston attended. They will compile a list of services we can
perform and not just give out checks. We all need to come up with some fund
raising ideas. Carla has some good ideas and will present them to the Board. If
you have any, come to the next Board meeting, if not come to a Board meeting
anyway.

ideas that will be passed along to the different committee’s also in the

Terry Holzhausen $2.00 for Congressman Rogers for
voting no twice for the Bail Out bills.
Harry Kost Happy to have Rep. Rogers here and the his staff was very

thought he was the Jack Polack of the South Lansing Club
Bob Holden The saga of the “ Great
Fishing Trip” with his grandson age 11, of course it rained. His grandson first
cast netted a 9lb brown trout, his second was a Coho and his third was a
Steelhead. Of the four fishermen those were only fish caught all day. He was
also on the internet holding the brown trout. Take your kids & grandkids
fishing but on sunny days only.
John Roy Castillo Cristo Rey is rehabbing some of the foreclosed
houses. Yesterday they had their first open house and they are starting another
next week.

Kost introduced our speaker for the day, 8th District
Representative Mike Rogers (Note Mr Rogers opponent was also
contacted but did not respond) He
discussed the reasons he voted against the two Bail Out proposals. He talked
about Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac. failures.
He explained the
circumstances that lead up to the crisis and some of the good changes that came
out of the congress to get the economy moving.
